As many people know from physics class, "every action has an equal and opposite reaction." As the club developed, a direction emerged focused on studying and recreating the images of the peoples who opposed the Roman Empire. These peoples were given a collective name by the Romans themselves—barbarians. Barbarians (Ancient Greek: βάρβαρος, barbaros, meaning "non-Greek," "foreigner") were people who, for the ancient Greeks, and later for the Romans, were foreigners who spoke an incomprehensible language and were alien to their culture. These included, at different times, the Germanic tribes, Celts, Carthaginians, Dacians, and many other ethnic groups. Many of them are represented in our club. The primary focus of reconstruction in our club is on the Celts, specifically the Veneti tribe. In terms of development, many of the peoples conquered by Rome were not inferior to it in technology or culture, and the conquerors often successfully adopted technologies and skills from the conquered peoples.
