Nonus Aurelius Paulus is the ninth son of Legio XIIII Comitatensis' veteran, by the laws of the emperor Constantine Nonus joined the the same legion when came of age. Nowadays Paulus serves in the Ripenses Danubienses — Danubian marine, guarding this limes against the Goths, Sarmatians, Carpi and other barbarians.
